About me
David Keough is known in Australia as one of the country’s leading hair stylists. After starting his career at the young age of 14, David began working at some of Sydney's premiere salons. Over the years, while honing his craft, David was able to branch out to work at hair expos and with celebrities like Miranda Kerr, Elle Macpherson, Megan Gale and Sarah Murdoch and many other TV personalities.
His first editorial shoot was with Cleo Magazine out of Australia and from there went on to work more with the likes of Red, Harpers Bazaar, Marie Claire, Glamour as well as Vanity Fair, Cosmopolitan, and Vogue. David's talent led him to become a Style Consultant for John Frieda, allowing him to forecast trends and help develop iconic looks for the brand from 2003 to 2007. During that time, he was named Hair Director for Tigerlilly, one of Australia's top clothing lines for Sydney's Fashion Week. He was able to juggle all of these tasks while his career began to skyrocket and left Sydney to take on the U.S. market in 2007 and has hardly looked back.
Currently based in Sydney, and traveling throughout the globe, David brings a quiet confidence to every job he does. Whether doing fashion campaigns for Max Azria or fashion editorials with top photographers Patrick Demarchelier and Ben Watts, in a studio or on location, David knows how to create the look that his diverse clientele have come to love. David adds, "Making women look sexy is my thing...and they just love it!" Miranda Kerr would agree. David has been making "sexy" a part of Kerr’s life for the last 14 years from Victoria’s Secret to the Academy Awards and to the fashion world's Oscars, the annual Met Gala.
Since David arrived in Hollywood, he's had the pleasure of collaborating with celebrities such as Amy Poehler, Alison Sweeney, Jillian Michaels, Torrey DeVitto and Alyssa Sutherland, among others. David's advertising clients include Colgate, Reebok, Wal-Mart, Jenny Craig, TJMaxx, and Purina Cat Food.
As a sought out stylist among many in the land of talent, it’s no wonder 30 years later he still loves the industry and they love him back!
